Carey, a former top fashion model who stands at almost 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. In 1979 the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists elected the father of her Scientist of The Year. In the course of his work, Carey was raised all over the globe. In the years of her college when she was modeling in a part-time capacity and caught the eye from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. The model moved to France in 1980 and lived briefly in Paris and Bordeaux before deciding to return in New York to continue with her education at college and build a modeling career and was soon appearing on the covers of Vogue, Glamour, etc. Between modeling gigs, she was also a full-time student obtaining a major in literature at New York University. In New York she began to learn about acting. In 1986 she began her career as an actor with a small role on the show "Club Paradise" in the film "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. Her leisure time is spent skiing, wind surfing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water white water rafting.
